Creative Ideas For Scrapbooking : Need Some?

Need some creative ideas for scrapbooking? I found this video on YouTube and what I like about it is:

  1. She gives a list of materials used! Absolute Gold….boy do I wish others would do this.
  2. It’s quick to put together. Another bonus point for that. Some projects can be so elaborate and time consuming.
  3. It’s beautiful and surprisingly full of pictures….kind of like those nested Russian dolls….it keeps unfolding.

Scrapbooking Room Envy : Color Me Chartreuse

Scrapbooking Room Envy : Color Me Chartreuse

I was just trolling the big FB (facebook) and ran across this post that is on one of the pages I like. Talk about Scrapbooking room envy. O. M. G.

As a fellow crafaholic and semi-reformed packrat, this room is the absolute best of both worlds. Beautifully executed with room to store all the necessities, its a real ‘gasper’.

Scrapbooking Haiku? WTF?

Scrapbooking Haiku? WTF?

Ok, apropos of absolutely nothing…..I have been thinking about poetry lately. Now, I pretty much suck at it and never ever, under any circumstances attempt it in public, so I rely heavily on the creativity of others. (you may have noticed that about me.)

As an aside, somebody recently sent me this picture about WTF. Mix pop culture with mom’s brain, shake vigorously and voila!Continue reading

How To Organize Scrapbooking Supplies : A Never-ending Process?

Ah yes the ‘how to organize scrapbooking supplies‘ post. Might as well label it ‘how to organize your life’. This for me seems to be a never-ending process. I confess, I have a pack-rat gene and I struggle to keep all my things organized. Usually I let things build up until they bother me enough to have what I call a ‘cleaning frenzy’.

The folks over at HSN have a great 20 item list of things to do to get your scrapbooking supplies organized. No ah-ha moments here. Just practical, useful tips that will get you inspired to get organized.

How To Organize Scrapbooking Supplies : 10 Top Tips

1. Make it easy. Different personality styles require different organization systems. Make sure you use an organization system you can live with – one that works with your style and allows you to find things without delay. If you find things easier when they’re alphabetized, then use that type of system. Perhaps you’re better at finding things by color, or maybe you prefer to organize by manufacturer. It’s all about finding the style that makes you most productive. Your organization system must work in harmony with your personality.Continue reading

Dabble In Digital

Design by Debbi Tehrani

Graduation pictures from high school, college, and graduate school were the focus of Debbi’s page documenting these important milestones in her life. After converting two photos to black-and-white, Debbi lined up the photos, added digital labels, and printed the collage as one image. Debbi used a coin envelope as a pocket to hold the journaling on her page. For a sneak peek at the journaling, she cut a window in the envelope and added a label holder.

Choose Complementary ColorsDesign by Wendy Sue AndersonSnapshots of her daughter proudly holding an academic certificate were Wendy’s opportunity to document her qualities in fifth grade. Use papers that bring out the colors in your photos. Wendy chose pink and brown for a pretty color scheme that complements her photo collage. For a little variety, tilt your camera before snapping your photo. The angled photo on Wendy’s page makes the photo series more interesting.
