Still Learning Digital Scrapbooking

Still Learning Digital Scrapbooking

I’m still delving into the world of digital scrapbooking and learning the dread Photoshop. Probably not the easiest choice, but it’s what I have…so, I’m slogging through. I’m about 1/2 way through the Scrap Girls videos. Boy, there’s a lot of detail. And I can see right away that my early efforts are going to fall way short of my perfectionist benchmark. I will cut myself some slack though and muddle on through.

For now, I’m resigned to being the pokeyest slow poke ever, but I can see some advantages of doing this because you can repurpose so much. I’m still in the baby stages of doing every layer by hand rather than using a kit where you can drag and drop your papers, embellishments etc. right in. I want to get the harder skills down a bit before I start taking shortcuts. I can definitely see the day when I’ll be able to crank out a bunch of layouts in one day rather than the weeks (sometimes months!) it took me to do the paper version.

This was an Allison Kimball kit that I got from her site with some stitches taken from Kevin And Amanda’s Spring Mini Kit.

I have a long way to go, but each time I do this, I get better and faster! Pretty soon, I’ll be the Bionic ScrapWoman!!
